Student Ministries at Southland exist to move students to Jesus, in community and on a mission together.

Everything we do is for this purpose. We want students of every age to live life to the full, and we love to see life change happen.

Any student is invited to join us as we experience what it means to live life with Jesus, in community and on mission.

LIFT is ministry for middle school. Leaders and students come together throughout the week to serve, grow and just spend time doing life together.

Sunday Mornings

10-11am, Harrodsburg Road Campus, Buidling C
Sunday mornings at Harrodsburg Road is a gathering just for middle school students. We have huge crowd games where everyone gets to play, a cafe area where you can chill or play games, a rocking band, and a biblical message that will challenge you. Invite your friends! We want to pack this place out.

Life Groups

LIFT Life Groups meet on Wednesday nights at the Harrodsburg Road Campus. You can sign up now if you're interested in joining or forming a Life Group.

ONE80 is ministry for high school. Leaders and students come together throughout the week to serve, grow and just spend time doing life together.

Home Groups

Home Groups meet on Sundays and Wednesdays in various homes during the school year.

A Home Group consists of about 20-40 students that are broken down into about 4-6 Life Groups within each home. Caring, well-trained adult leaders are there to help invest in the lives of High School students by building relationships with them, encouraging them, and leading discussions about what it means to be a Jesus follower. We have several homes that meet in Lexington, Nicholasville and Wilmore. Our desire is that these gatherings become a safe "home away from home" for High School students where they feel welcomed, wanted and challenged in their walk with Jesus.

Last night we launched the first ONE80 in Danville. We just wanted to share a quick update and a crummy picture. (We apologize for the pic. We tried to sketch a better rendering of the event, but we couldn't get it to look right.) Anyway, our Age Level leader, Jon, challenged middle and high school students to live with Jesus, in community, and on a mission.  It's going to be great to see what God does as ONE80 meets weekly in Danville. Student Kickoff

Here's a note from Brad about Wednesday Night's Harrodsburg Road Student Ministries Kickoff.

Wednesday night was amazing. There was a certain peace present that comes only from God. It was cool to see high school and middle school in the same room. Typically something like that is terrible uncomfortable for all involved - but last night was different. It was refreshing to some extent that both groups of student were interacting and hanging out together. In a lot of ways... it was the Church. a body of people not bound together only by age or social status - but by the Father's love for us and our love for Him. 

There is no better way to enter into a semester then being reminded that we need to allow the Lord to do what He wants with our life.

The world and it's desires will pass away but the man who does the will of God lives forever. 1 John 2:17

That is truth. and a truth I am thankful for. We look anywhere and see the emptiness this world has to offer us. We see that obviously. This world is destructive. We encourage you and challenge you to look to the heavens and see the Life what God offers. We see the emptiness here, but rarely do we take the step to look to Life Himself.

Well, school is back in full swing. What could you do to break up the mundane misery of going from class to class to class? We'd perhaps suggest that you join us for our Student Ministries Kick-Off events at our Harrodsburg Road campus. They're so packed with fruit flavor that we had to spread them out over two weeks. What does this mean for you? It means you have something on your calendar beyond homework and soccer practice. Grab a friend and come. We'd love to see you there.
