- Sandra Bullock. But they're just being nice. It's more because I act crazy like Sandra Bullock.
- What is your favorite TV series?
- 30 Rock on NBC or Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations on the Travel Channel.

- IKEA. The amazing, affordable, wonderful, don’t-forget-the-café, Swedish home furnishings store.
- What is one book that has impacted you?
- I'll give you 2. The Cost of Discipleship by Deitrich Bonhoeffer or There is No Me Without You by Melissa Faye Greene.

- What is your role at Southland?
- I work with organizations in the community and people at Southland who serve outside the walls of church.
- Can we read your blog?
- I'd rather you not. (just kidding.) Unless you're adopting a kid. In that case, you can read my blog The Family B.

- Bringing my daughter home from Ethiopia, and thankful that God took us on the journey of adoption.
- What is your most memorable experience?
- Spending a semester of college in Europe studying and traveling.
- What inspires you?
- Taking small steps to serve and love people living in poverty, either around the world in Africa, or right here in Lexington.
- What is your biggest challenge?
- Doing household chores. I'm terrible at it.
