- What was your first job?
- My first was at some burger place that's gone out of business, but I have had a wide assortment including driving a Tom's Peanut Snack Truck, working in a bank mail room, numerous administrative office jobs, public relations/special events coordinator at a local advertising agency, executive assistant to the president of non-profit community development agency.
- What is one book that has impacted you?
- Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning (anything by Brennan Manning!)
- What was your childhood ambition?
- To parachute and ride in a hot air balloon.
- One of your proudest moments?
- Whenever I see my kids being kind and compassionate to others.
- What brought you to Southland?
- My parents when I was 12! When I came back in '96 or so... Brewster's youth group. I came back to bring my teenage daughter here and help with the youth group.
- What is your most memorable experience?
- The birth of my kids. My first trip to Haiti. The birth of my grandchild. All rank up there.
- What inspires you?
- People in need, people who are hurting inspire me to act. People who serve inspire me to join them.
- If you could vacation anywhere... where would you go?
- The Greek Islands.
- What is your biggest challenge?
- Quiet time. I love it, it's just hard for me to make myself stop long enough to have it.
- Who lives in your house?
- Most of the time it's just me, but the door's usually open for whoever needs it.
